Description

In June 1910 Vincent Raven took over as Chief Mechanical Engineer of the NER and to mark this, and the end of the Worsdell era, an article entitled “The Modern Locomotives of the North Eastern Railway” appeared in that month’s Railway Magazine.

There are numerous illustrations, a table of dimensions, and some biographical notes.
