Description
This 99 page facsimile covers the engine working arrangements on the North Eastern Railway during the summer of 1908 for all depots and subsidiary depots. Main Line working, in the case of passenger trains and engines working passenger trains in one direction and goods trains on the return, is separated from more local workings. The work to be done by the engines at any one of these depots was divided up into series of ‘turns’.
