NER (Northern Division) Working Timetable, October 1898 – April 1899

Description

This part of the N.E.R. Working Timetable covers the company’s Northern Division consisting all the lines in Northumberland and Durham, including the former Stockton and Darlington and Leeds Northern Railways with the Yorkshire Dales branches. Like the Southern Division WTT  this part covers the basic passenger and goods services and trip workings in congested areas (known on the NER as Pilot Workings). Weekly notices could alter this basic pattern as traffic demanded, and the WTT provides conditional paths marked with a ‘Q’ for those extra trains which could be anticipated.
