Description
This facsimile publication reproduces the carriage working book for East Coast Main Line services from London Kings Cross to Newcastle and Sunderland, over the border to Edinburgh and Scotland. It shows how the trains were formed with some workings attaching or detaching coaches or ‘portions’ en route to the final destination. It also sets out the working of LNER stock prior to the introduction of BR Mark 1 stock in 1951. Though the information included in the roster it is possible to identify the types of vehicle in use on particular services.
