NERA Membership

• Membership runs from 1 January to 31 December in a given calendar year.
• Membership for a 2024 product will begin on 1 January 2024 and end on 31 December 2024.
• If you still wish to buy membership for 2023 then please contact us.
• If you wish to renew your membership by bank transfer or by setting up a standing order then please contact us.
• If you are an existing member, you may renew your membership by purchasing a membership product. Please either login before ordering, or make sure you use the email we have for you when ordering.
• If you are not a member, you may join NERA by purchasing a membership product.
• Purchase only 1 membership product.
• To purchase a product, choose the membership type you want, click “add to basket” then click “go to basket” then pay by debit card, credit card or PayPal.
• Members receive a range of benefits in addition to those outlined below.
• By purchasing a membership product, you agree to abide by the rules of the Association. You must be aged 18 or over (if below this age please contact the Membership Secretary for advice). Membership information will be stored on a computer, but used solely for NERA purposes (principally mailing and accounting).

Digital Ordinary “Taster Rate” for New Members

(Available to new members for the first year of membership only – an introductory offer)

  • one account to login and access digital resources via the NERA website (including the Express magazine, Supplement, and any associated material)
  • one vote at any NERA General Meeting

Print UK Family

• • each quarter, one physical copy of the Express magazine and Supplement and any associated material by post to their declared UK address

Notes

• Members who join at any point during a calendar year will still be able to download all four issues of the Express Magazine for that year from the Members Only section of the website shop.
• Print members who join at any point during a calendar year will still receive four physical copies of the Express Magazine for that year.

What Happens Next

• When you purchase  a membership product, a copy of your order email will be sent automatically to the membership secretary who will determine whether you are an existing member or not.
• If you are an existing member, your membership will be renewed
• If you are not an existing member, the membership secretary will allocate you a membership number and forward the order email to the webmaster. The webmaster will then create a new website account and an automatic welcome email will be sent to you to explain how to login. Please check your spam folder for this welcome email. This process can take a few days depending the volume of new member applications.

Donations

Members  buying or renewing membership using the traditional paper form have sometimes topped-up their membership subscription to a round number by adding a voluntary donation. You may also do the same in the shop by purchasing a donation product. You may make larger donations by purchasing multiple donation products.

Charity Gift Aid Declaration

If you are a current UK taxpayer NERA can claim Gift Aid on your membership subscription, which is treated as a donation, and any further donations you make. NERA will receive 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 you donate. Gift Aid is reclaimed by the charity from the tax you pay to HMRC for the current tax year. You won’t pay anything extra.
