NERA Membership

Buy or renew your membership online.

NERA membership is for a calendar year, and expires on 31 December.

Members receive a range of benefits. See individual membership products for differences.

Access to the member-only section of the NERA website will be implemented as soon as possible after your application has been processed. Digital Express will be available via the website. Members purchasing a Print membership during a calendar year should receive all the Express magazines for that year.

By purchasing a membership product, you agree to abide by the rules of the Association. You must be aged 18 or over (if below this age please contact the Membership Secretary for advice).

Membership information will be stored on a computer, but used solely for NERA purposes (principally mailing and accounting).

If you are a UK taxpayer we can claim Gift Aid on your subscription, which is treated as a donation, and any further donation you make. Gift Aid Declarations are retained until membership ceases and are then securely destroyed. Anonymized information may be retained for statistical analysis. You may complete a Charity Gift Aid Declaration online.

Did You Know?

In World War One, 18,339 employees of the NER (just over one third of the workforce) were released for military service. Sadly, 2,236 of them died. They are commemorated on the memorial on Station Approach, York, designed by architect Sir Edwin Lutyens and dedicated in 1924.
