Steve Hoather of the NER Autocar Trust has written to us as follows:
As part of the restoration of NER coach 3453 to run with the Autocar, we have commissioned NER patterned carpets (see the photo above). This was based on a well worn original carpet purchased at auction, but we increased the length of the design to fit a full width compartment.
The carpets measure 2135mm x 840mm (84″ x 33″) and were made by Calderdale Carpets in Dewsbury. Because the firm required a minimum order quantity, we are offering the remainder for sale at a price of £445 inc VAT.
A number have already been sold, and I guess some NERA members might also be interested.
