This month’s postcard is from Shildon, Co. Durham. The view is from the Up platform; we can see the Down platform buildings, and the ramp leading to the footbridge. The NER gas works is in the background. The lines in the background on the far left lead towards Masons Arms crossing and Shildon railway works.
Shildon is now the home of Locomotion, part of the National Railway Museum.
